The Lakes Area Manufacturers Alliance, also known as "LAMA"...

- Promotes manufacturing's economic importance to our region, representing the Minnesota counties of Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, Wadena and Aitkin.

- Promotes career opportunities in manufacturing providing career exploration opportunities to our area secondary and post-secondary students.  LAMA provides scholarships to graduating high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in a related Manufacturing or Engineering field.

- Provides a method of networking among our region's manufacturing leaders allowing them to share their knowledge and experience managing manufacturing enterprise operations.

- Provides a central point of contact for communication and collaboration with the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce, BLADEC, Bridges Career Academies & Workplace Connection, Enterprise Minnesota, MN DEED, Minnesota Precision Manufacturers Association, Minnesota Manufactured and the 360 Centers of Excellence and our area school districts, Central Lakes College and other supporting educational and civic organizations.
